2. Our book, “Habits of a Successful Beginner Band Musician”.

By Scott Rush and Jeff Scott. It has a green cover. Make sure you purchase the correct version for your child’s instrument.

3. Clarinets and Saxophones need a Box of 10 Reeds, Strength 2.5.

If you search “Rico (Clarinet or Saxophone) Reeds Box of 10 Strength 2.5” you should see an orange box of reeds.

4. Optional: Folding Music Stand.

This is optional, but will greatly assist students practicing with good posture at home. They do not need to bring a folding music stand to school, as we have music stands in the band room.

5. Optional: Metronome/Tuner.

This is another optional tool, but will greatly assist students in their practicing. You can find these as a 2-in-1 product on Amazon, but there are also many free alternatives on the App Store or Play Store. My personal favorite phone app version is TonalEnergy Tuner (TE Tuner).
